What is Korean Glass Skin?

ZENA Glass Skin Ritual treatment is suitable for all skin types and is the perfect facial treatment, especially during the summer. It is a non-invasive procedure with no peeling, no downtime, and is safe even during periods of intense sun exposure. The treatment gently renews the skin, stimulates microcirculation, and provides an instantly refreshed, healthy, well-rested appearance. Protocol 1:

1. Prep and Purify - Begin with Zena Cosmetics Enzyme Cleansing Gel, followed by Zena Peeling Foam.  The goal: a clean, hydrated canvas—essential for the “glass skin” look.

2. Professional exfoliation using Zena Toner and Lactic 30. It has a pronounced moisturizing and exfoliating effect. Lactic acid penetrates into the epidermis, eliminates dead skin cells, evens out its surface, relieves inflammation, brightens areas with excessively strong pigmentation, eliminates redness on the skin, stimulates skin cell renewal, and triggers collagen production. The advantage of milk peeling, in comparison with other types of peeling, is that it does not dry out the skin and restores the skin’s own defenses. Lactic peeling is effective for both dry and oily skin

3. Targeted tretament using HyalChol cocktail. It is this cocktail that gives the skin the glossy effect that clients of cosmetologists so often want to get. Hyalchol extra-enriched meso-cocktail is recommended specifically for stimulating the activity of fibroblasts and restoring the intercellular balance disturbed with age. Amino acids and vitamins as part of the preparation are a nourishing and healing environment containing all the metabolites necessary for stimulation, growth and regeneration of human skin tissue.

4. BioRevitalizing layer - Biphase peeling combines resurfacing efficacy of an acid peel with comfort power of an oils. No glass‑skin routine is complete without this.

Protocol 2:

1. Skin Preparation 

If the client is wearing makeup, first remove it using micellar water. Then cleanse the skin with Zena Cosmetics Enzyme Cleansing Gel.

2. Deep Cleansing 

The next step is a deeper cleansing to remove dead skin cells. Depending on the client’s skin needs, use either Enzyme Cleanser or Zena Peeling Foam. Apply the product, massage for several minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. 

3. Toning 

After cleansing, apply Zena Toner. This is an essential step because the toner: has anti-inflammatory properties, provides antioxidant benefits, disinfects the skin, restores the skin’s natural pH. Apply the product to cotton pads and gently wipe the skin. 

4. Non-Acid Peeling 

Next, perform a non-acid peel using Natural Pro Retinol Peel. It contains bakuchiol and spicules (microscopic silica needles). This product gently stimulates skin renewal, smooths the skin’s texture, improves skin tone, and prepares the skin for better absorption of active ingredients — without the irritation typically associated with traditional acid peels. Apply an appropriate amount of product (approximately 3–5 pumps), massage thoroughly for several minutes, leave on the skin for 5–7 minutes, then rinse with warm water. 

5. CO₂ Carboxy Therapy

The next step is CO₂ Carboxy Therapy. The set consists of a gel and a sheet mask. First, apply the gel evenly to the face and neck using a brush. Then place the sheet mask over the gel and begin pressing it gently with your palms. The CO₂ reaction is activated by pressure. During the first 5 minutes, actively press the mask to initiate the process. Then leave it on the skin for approximately 10 minutes, repeating the pressing motion every 2 minutes. After the treatment time, remove the mask and wipe away any remaining gel with a damp cosmetic cloth. 

6. Glowing skin

Next, using gentle massage movements, apply Bi-phase Rege Peel and leave it on the skin for approximately 5 minutes. Do not rinse it off completely. Simply remove any excess oily layer with a dry tissue or a damp cotton pad. The product provides an immediate brightening effect, creating the appearance of glass skin. 

7. Finishing the Treatment 

To complete the procedure, apply a small amount of Zena Post Gel.  and allow it to absorb completely.
